What is LukAi?
LukAi is an AI IDE that combines a complete desktop development environment with planning, agentic development, codebase context, terminal tools, diff review, and safe revert workflows.
Which operating systems are supported?
The LukAi desktop application is released for Windows and macOS. The download page lists the current architecture and package format for each platform.
Can the agent really edit files and run commands?
Yes. In Build mode it can read and search the project, create and edit files, and run terminal commands and tests. File, terminal, and MCP operations have separate approval policies.
What is the difference between Plan and Spec?
Plan mode produces an actionable plan and moves to Build mode after approval. The Spec workflow separates larger work into requirements, design, and tasks documents, with approval at each stage.
Can I revert changes made by the agent?
File changes safely matched to a completed agent turn can be reverted from a bounded checkpoint. If a file was changed again afterward, conflict checks prevent silent data loss.
Will context disappear in long conversations?
LukAi summarizes older working context before the model window becomes constrained. The complete conversation, checkpoints, and file history remain visible, and you can also use /compact manually.
Which models are available?
The catalog can include GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra, and Luna, Fable 5, and other GPT, Codex, and Claude models. Account access, premium status, and live availability come from the gateway and can change.
Can I use one account on multiple computers?
You can move between computers, but the account is active on only one computer at a time. Explicit takeover stops active agent work on the previous computer; multiple windows on the same computer are supported.
Can I develop on a server with Remote SSH?
Yes. The desktop application uses SSH config profiles to open a remote target in a new or existing LukAi window. OpenSSH keys, agents, passwords, and ProxyJump settings remain on the desktop.
Are the mobile app and web chat available?
LukAi Mobile supports remote desktop IDE control, preparation chat, notifications, and safe diff review. Mobile access is currently available to a limited number of users. There is no independent coding chat inside the website.
Is voice typing available?
Yes. The built-in voice dictation provided by iOS and Android keyboards can be used in conversation fields.
Is Orchestra available to everyone?
No. Orchestra is a limited-access workflow visible only to accounts enabled by the gateway, and it may consume more usage.
Is there an online browser chat?
Not currently. LukAi's main product is the desktop IDE for Windows and macOS.
