1. Scope and controller
This Privacy Policy applies to the LukAi website, desktop application, account portal, support, AI-assisted development features, mobile companion, and related services offered by Hosted Technology Inc.. For individual services, Hosted Technology Inc. generally acts as the controller of personal data. A separate business agreement may make us a processor for an enterprise customer.
2. Data you provide
- Account and profile information, such as name, email, company, role, country, and authentication details.
- Billing and transaction information. Payment-card details are handled by the applicable payment processor rather than stored directly by LukAi.
- Prompts, code, files, project context, instructions, feedback, support messages, reports, and attachments you choose to submit.
- Enterprise, startup, contact, waitlist, and other form information, including phone number where requested.
3. Data collected through use
- Device, application version, operating system, language, session, sign-in, and security-event information.
- Plan, credit, feature, request, model-selection, and aggregate usage information.
- Performance, error, crash, diagnostic, and technical log information needed to maintain and troubleshoot the service.
- Cookie, local-storage, IP address, browser, referral, and interaction information from the website and account services.
4. AI and project content
When you request an AI feature, LukAi processes the prompt and the project context needed to produce the response. Depending on the action, context may include selected code, files, instructions, conversation history, tool results, or repository information.
AI content is processed by LukAi and authorized AI-processing partners only as needed to provide, secure, monitor, and support the feature, subject to applicable agreements and settings. We do not publish the commercial or technical routing arrangements behind individual requests. Do not include secrets or sensitive personal data unless necessary and contractually supported.
5. How we use data
- Provide accounts, authentication, AI features, tools, subscriptions, support, and requested services.
- Process payments, credits, discounts, startup or enterprise applications, and billing records.
- Secure the service; detect fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and violations of our terms.
- Diagnose failures, measure performance, improve reliability, and develop features.
- Communicate service notices, respond to requests, and send marketing where permitted or consented to.
- Comply with law, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, and protect users, LukAi, and third parties.
6. Legal bases
Where a legal basis is required, we process data to perform a contract, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as security and product reliability, and act on consent where applicable. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
7. How data is disclosed
We disclose data only as reasonably necessary to service providers that support AI processing, payments, authentication, email, customer support, analytics, security, hosting, storage, and infrastructure; to professional advisers; in a corporate transaction; or when required by law or needed to protect rights and safety.
Providers may process data only for authorized purposes under applicable contracts. We may publish an updated subprocessor or category disclosure when legally or contractually required, without exposing confidential routing or commercial arrangements.
8. Cookies and analytics
We use necessary cookies and local storage for sign-in, security, language, preferences, and service operation. We may use limited analytics to understand website and product performance. Where required, non-essential cookies or marketing technologies are used only after consent. Browser controls can remove or block cookies, but some features may stop working.
9. Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, including account operation, security, billing, tax, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Retention varies by record type, sensitivity, account settings, and legal requirements.
After data is no longer needed, it is deleted, de-identified, or anonymized under applicable processes. Residual copies may remain temporarily in protected backups. Fraud, payment, security, or legal records may be retained after account deletion where required.
10. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect data, including access controls, encrypted transport, credential hashing, logging, and restricted operational access. No service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting devices, credentials, repositories, and connected systems.
11. International transfers
LukAi is operated by a United States company, and data may be processed in the United States or other countries where authorized providers operate. Where required, we use recognized transfer mechanisms and contractual safeguards. Local laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live.
12. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection; withdraw consent; or appeal a denied privacy request. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority. We do not discriminate for exercising applicable rights.
Use the account-deletion page or contact support@lukai.dev. We may verify identity and may retain information where an exception applies. Marketing messages include an opt-out mechanism where required.
13. U.S. state disclosures
Residents of certain U.S. states may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal data and to opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, or sharing. LukAi does not sell personal data for money. If our practices change or a broader legal definition applies, we will provide the required choice mechanism.
14. Children
LukAi is not directed to children under 13 and is not intended for anyone who cannot legally enter these Terms. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided data.
15. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the product or law changes. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice for material changes where required.
